TONGAN LANGUAGE WEEK

Welcome to Whakapono 20s blog.

This week we have been celebrating
'TONGAN LANGUAGE WEEK.

“Fakakoloa 'o Aotearoa 'aki 'a e 'ofa fonua”

Enrich Aotearoa with the love of duty and service to country and people
We started with an opening with the Tongan anthem and prayer then of the raising of the flag.
Our goal this week is to make a 'kie kie' and learn about the history of a Kie kie.

The children have learnt to count and say hello to a person and how to reply. Their teachers were our tongan children in our class, Lesieli, Sione and Caitlin.
